If you want to solve a puzzle game you can go about it the old fashion way, or you can go about it the software way. The old fashion way involves you getting a traditional puzzle, spreading it on a table, on your desk, or wherever else you want, and then patiently piecing the puzzle pieces together.

The software way involves you getting the right piece of software that will replace the traditional puzzle game and allow you to solve puzzles on your desktop. Such a piece of software is Infinite Jigsaw Puzzle. Published by Alawar Entertainment, this game has the following to offer:

- There are 100 puzzles included in the game. If that isn’t enough for you, you can download more puzzles from the web.
- If you want something more personal, you can create puzzles from pictures. The in-game help said it was as simple as loading an image and modifying it. I just couldn’t find the Load button; guess it’s not available in the trial version.
- You can see an image of the final image in the background. To help you out, the game can display a transparent preview of the final image in the background. There’s also a preview button that displays a preview of the final image.
- Select ho many pieces the puzzle will have. Easy = 60 pieces, Hard = 150 pieces, Extreme = 260 pieces.
- Boss key (F10) that hides the game out of sight.

You can try Infinite Jigsaw Puzzle free of charge for a trial period of 60 minutes. To do this you will have to download and install the game on your Windows-powered computer. There are a few things you may not like about these two steps. If you are on a less than spectacular internet connection, you will not like that downloading the 25.8MB game may take a bit of time. You will not like that you cannot select where to install the game, that you are offered to change your default search provider and homepage to Ask.com, and that you are offered to install Game Box (a catalog of all the games Alawar Entertainment has to offer). You will also not like that an Alawar Games shortcut is created on the desktop without your permission and that an Alawar Games folder is placed in the Start menu – again, without your permission.
